DeSoto West Middle School launched its first All Pro Dads meeting on Nov. 5, bringing more than 30 fathers and their children together.

DeSoto West Middle School will host the West C.O.I.N.S Showcase on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, from 6–7:30 p.m. to highlight student-led clubs and campus culture-building initiatives.

West Middle School will host its “Saddle Up for Reading” Rodeo Night on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2025, from 6–7 p.m. to engage families in literacy through fun, hands-on activities.

DeSoto ISD has launched the Frank Moates Afterschool Girls STEM Program to inspire and engage young girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
